whats going now!...or 'we are not the same, i am a martian'

R. Kelly and Soccer blogs make the world go round. so say i. but for your sake i'll push them to the end.
In recent news, i went to Kanye West's "Glow in the Dark" tour. And i can say it was one of the most impressive things i've seen before. it was bananas! With a line up of 4 different hit makers (Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D., Rihanna, and Kanye), the show was crazy from start to finish. I would go further into the show, but there is really no describing it. Less like a concert and more like a play, ridiculous special effects, an inspirational message, a free inspirational book, sensory overload to the max and all the sci fi a nerd like myself could want...it was rad.
My opinion on Kanye hasn't changed really. I still think of him more as a pop star than as a hip hop MC- but i've got a lot of respect for Kanye's drive to do interesting/epic stuff.
Now, to contradict myself, Mr. West recycled another sample for Lil Wayne's new record, using the same sample in both Alicia Keys "You don't know my name" and Lil Wayne's "Comfortable". both tracks are hot, so im not really complaining- merely observing. it doesn't bum me out as hard as the sample biting K. did on "they say" by common and "Drive slow". i still love you kanye.
Speaking of new records: Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" is rad. the more i listen to it, the more i want to listen to it. N.E.R.D.'s new record "Seeing Sounds" is a must purchase. Just when i was looking for some new music these two popped up and quenched that desire with exactly what i would want. Im also looking forward to new records by R. Kelly and Phoenix. May they come soon. Im sure there are other records im waiting on too, but those are the ones that come to mind right now. Oh, Rancid's new record too- I hope its better than "invincible"- that record was a bummer.

Kells:
-R. Kelly, may not be innocent, but sending him to jail is just punishing Society as a whole. Locking up Kells is like locking up love...and if you don't buy that surely his sexual depravity will only be served by jail time. ha.
Soccer:
-i knew Croatia is good (one of my favorite players is Croatian (kinda, he's really brazilian naturalized in Croatia)). but a win over Germany was unexpected. I can say they outplayed germany, but really their second goal was a miracle fluke-but Olic's positioning was right, so you can't whine too much.
-the netherlands are going to stomp the shit out of france tomorrow. im excited to watch it. but France may surprise me, especially if Domenech pulls his head out of his ass and fields a decent team (meaning the Henry and Viera (both ex-Gunners) will need to be back). It would have been easier for him to field a decent team had he made better selections when building his squad.
the euro's are taking over my life.
